Technology programs receive maximum accreditation from ABETThree technology programs at East Tennessee State University have received reaccreditation for six years — the maximum term possible — by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET), the recognized accrediting body for college and university programs in applied science, computing, engineering, and technology.
The ETSU programs — construction engineering technology, electronic engineering technology, and manufacturing engineering technology — are within the Department of Engineering Technology, Surveying and Digital Media in the College of Business and Technology.
ABET, a federation of 29 professional and technical societies, is “designed to advance and assure the quality of professional education.” The organization’s Technology Accreditation Commission approved the ETSU programs.
